Isabella was born in and around the English and French Medieval Ages. She stayed in Europe for about the first fourteen years of her life, until she was shipped off to France to marry the man she would not be happy with, King Edward II.

**1292** Isabella was born in Paris, France; to Jean I and Philip IV of France.

**1308** Edward marries Isabella in Boulogne. Piers Gaveston (lover of Edward II) is exiled for misgovernment.

**1309** Gaveston returns from exile in France.

**1310** Parliament sets up a committee of Lords and Ordains to control the King and improve administrations. The Kings' cousin-Thomas- Earl of Lancaser takes control.

**1312** Edward III is born ( November 13th ). Piers Gaveston is kidnapped and beheaded by opponets of the King.

**1314** Battle of Bannockburn- Robert the Brute & Scots. King Philip IV dies.

**1320** Two new favorites of King Edward II- Sir Hugh Despenser and his son Hugh.

**1322** Barons' Rebellion, led by Thomas- Earl of Lancaster, is crushed at the Battle if Boroughbridge in Yorkshire.

**1326** Isabella abandons Edward for her lover R. Mortimer, and together they seize power and disposes of Edward. The Dispensers are both put to death.

**1327** Formally disposed by Parliament in favor of Edward III - Edward II was murdered in Berkeley Castle. Edward III ~crowned~ Westminister Abbey, February 1, 1327.

**1328** Edward II marries Philippa of Hainault ,York (on January 24th) and together they have 13 children.

**1327-1330** Isabella and Roger Mortimer rule in the name of the young King, Edward III until he took power in 1330. Roger was tried and executed and Isabella was forced into retire from public life until her death in 1358.
